About the team
The Security Posture Insights & Management (SPOT) team owns the products, systems, and data that we use to accurately assess and represent the security posture at Netflix. Via that consistent, accurate, and easily queryable security posture context, SPOT aims to drive understanding and management of security risk, improve risk-informed decision-making and prioritization, and make sure security engineers have the security posture context they need when they need it.
About the role
SPOT is looking for an experienced full-stack product engineer. You will drive product development, focusing on crafting effective user experiences while promoting engineering excellence and rigor across the stack. Responsibilities include working on front-end user interfaces, back-end services that support the front-end, mentoring, product prototyping, and general work across the product life cycle.
In your role, you will work on products that help deliver security posture context to various internal customers and stakeholders with an emphasis on effectively surfacing that posture to drive down risk.
This is a highly cross-functional role. You will be working with other teams and stakeholders, including fellow engineers, product managers, security experts, and internal customers.

Prior security experience is not required, though you should be interested in learning about the security landscape at Netflix and working on security-related products. We are looking for stunning colleagues who enable our mission and support our culture of freedom and responsibility.
You should have
Strong experience with Javascript/Typescript (Node/React), with bonus points for Python
Strong full-stack development skills and a history of shaping end-to-end solutions, with a focus on crafting effective UIs
Experience extending and leveraging GraphQL APIs
Familiarity with overall system design and architecture, and how to progressively improve software
