About the job

This position is needed to lead and execute on the strategy for Growth Marketing within the Communications Business and will report to our Director of Growth Marketing. In this role, you will collaborate with different teams to define the growth strategy for new customers, support them throughout their journey, drive onboarding and nurturing efforts, and ensure the testing of experiments to enhance their usage and engagement. You will also be responsible for leading and reporting on selected OKRs and creating original content as needed. The ideal candidate is agile, has strong cross-functional experience, is a skilled communicator, and has a history of driving business results with Growth Campaigns.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead Key Lifecycle Marketing Campaigns: Oversee early stages of customer journey, focusing on acquisition, nurture flows, customer growth.

  • Comprehensive Campaign Management: Manage copywriting, audience creation, reporting, and iteration on experimental campaigns.

  • Data-Driven Hypothesis Testing: Develop and test hypotheses to enhance new customer onboarding, product launches, and production processes. Assess results and refine strategies accordingly.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across your business unit, including PMM, Marketing Operations,  Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, and Brand, to develop a robust growth strategy, and implement and execute those.

  • Multi-Channel Tactics: Utilize various channels such as console, Appcues, and website to drive multi-channel customer engagement and ensure a seamless experience.

  • Collaboration with Sales and Marketing: Partner with the sales team and marketers to optimize performance and drive conversions through strategic insights and experimentation.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Track, analyze, and report on lifecycle campaign performance. Enhance engagement metrics including deliverability, open rates, click-to-open rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates. Provide improvement recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Content Performance Analysis: Measure and analyze key content performance metrics on a monthly/quarterly basis and adjust strategies as needed to achieve OKRs.

Required:

  • Extensive Experience in Growth Marketing: 5+ years of experience in growth marketing with a proven track record of leading successful multi-channel campaigns.

  • In-Depth Understanding of the Customer Journey: Ability to create and execute programs that resonate with target audiences at focus stages of the funnel, including acquisition, onboarding, and growth.

  • Strong Copywriting Skills: Exceptional ability to write compelling and effective copy for various marketing channels and audiences.

  • Strong Analytical and Data-Driven Skills: Proficiency in developing and testing data-driven hypotheses, with preferred experience in using tools such as Marketo and Tableau.

  • Proven Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated high ownership and experience working cross-functionally to plan, execute, and optimize campaigns.

  • Email Marketing Expertise: Experience in creating and managing campaigns within an email marketing platform, including A/B testing and establishing best practices.

  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and execute campaigns with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams: Experience partnering with sales and marketing teams to drive performance and conversions through strategic insights and experimentation.

  • Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment with competing priorities, ensuring continuous optimization and improvement of marketing strategies.

Desired:

  • Salesforce, Looker, Tableau & Google Analytics experience

  • Experience with conversation marketing tools/chatbots (Drift, Appcues, etc)

  • Hands-on experience with Marketo/Sendgrid/other email marketing platforms

  • Prior experience in Growth marketing and lifecycle functions will be given preference.

Location

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $92,800 - $116,000.

  • Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $98,320 - $122,90.

  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
