Sales Development Representative
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Sales Development Representative (SDR) to assist our Executive Risks team. This role is critical in driving the early stages of our sales process by connecting with brokers and setting up key opportunities for our Business Development team. The SDR will play a pivotal role in scheduling product demos, ensuring that brokers are well-informed about our products, and facilitating smooth handovers to our Business Development team. You will be responsible for approximately 80 outbound calls a day to brokers from pre-qualified lead lists provided by our team.
This is a remote opportunity that can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
Conduct 80+ calls daily to engage brokers and schedule demos
Work from a list of provided leads—no prospecting required
Use pre-set email sequences to nurture broker relationships
Set up meetings on Business Development calendars for product demos
Assist in transitioning broker relationships to Business Development
Communicate the value of Coalition products and our insurance platform to brokers
Collaborate closely with the sales and executive risk teams to ensure a smooth handoff and effective communication between brokers and Business Development
Meet or exceed performance targets, specifically the number of brokers quoted after demos
Skills and Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a sales development or similar role, preferably in the insurance or tech industry
Proficient in CRM systems and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle a high volume of calls and manage time effectively
Team player with a strong sense of accountability
Bonus Points
Experience/knowledge in the insurance industry
Bachelor Degree in business or sales related field
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $40,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $45,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location.
