Northrop Grumman is seeking a princiapl budget analyst to join our team.
This position is location in Falls Church, VA but we may also consider virtual / telework.
Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project planning and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Business management functions including but not limited to financial forecasting, budget versus actuals, monthly reporting, etc.
- Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management.
- Develop business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as the Monthly IF and the Forward Pricing Rate Process and Annual Operating Plan
- Manage reporting and coordinate monthly rhythm with appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide accurate, timely, and supported inputs supporting financial forecasting and profitability determination.
- Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records, monitoring requirements, and overall cost management.
- Ensures supported organizations comply with ES policies and procedures, in particular time charging, and appropriate expensing of unallowable costs.
- Partners with Corporate Accounting, Global Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate PO Line-Item funding, ADR's, Invoice Payments, Monthly Accruals, and amortization of prepaids.
- Partners with Enterprise Agreement Team to ensure funding aligns with agreement commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management, accounting, finance, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree in business management, accounting finance or related field with 3 year of relevant experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP
- COGNOS system experience
Salary Range: $73,300 - $109,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
