Customer Service Adviser (Race For Life)
£22,308 plus benefits
Reports to: Supporter Services Team Lead
Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement
Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week (between 8am – 8pm, 10 days within 14, 2 weekends in 6)
Location: Sterling House, Oxford (1 – 2 days per week) or home-based (Anywhere in the UK)
Please note that if you choose to be home-based, you will be required to pay for your own travel to the Oxford office as and when required (approximately 2x per year)

What will I be doing?
- Engaging with supporters by offering personalised and tailored responses to all inquiries and complaints, aiming to resolve issues at the first point of contact whenever possible
- Listening to each supporter’s needs and understanding their personal experiences and motivations.
- Using each interaction with supporters to promote CRUK’s engagement, new opportunities and services
- Being an information specialist and maintaining a broad knowledge of all CRUK’s campaigns, products, and services
- Seizing every opportunity to boost fundraising and support for CRUK.
- Engaging with all our services through communication channels, including outbound and inbound calls, live chat, email, and social media.
What skills are we looking for?
- Enthusiastic and passionate about providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to work to targets and be self-motivated to meet and exceed agreed targets
- Proficient in creating letters and emails with exceptional grammar.
- Proficient in using, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to a high standard
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with extensive experience in confident phone communication and call control.
- IT literate and the ability to use multiple systems at any one time
- Fantastic attention to detail and accuracy
- Excels in handling tough and stressful circumstances as some of our calls can be emotional.
