Job Purpose
This role will require you to be part of an international sales team, set up to build and support domestic and international advertising sales. This role specifically supports the strategy and partnerships between BBC’s Ad Sales team and Agency + Brand clients, to facilitate revenue growth from new & existing accounts and assist Sellers as they establish BBC Advertising as preferred media partner across the Midwest.
The role will support direct and programmatic sales, across both new and existing clients for the Midwest in-house sales team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work alongside Direct Sellers to drive revenue
- Help support the BBC Advertising Midwest office sales strategy and the execution of that strategy.
- Maintain Midwest priority account mapping, across programmatic, digital direct, linear, audio and social
- Alongside Direct Sellers & BBC’s Client Success & StoryWorks teams, leverage BBC’s brand position to create compelling sales solutions for clients & ad agencies
- Be a key stakeholder in the RFP process, working alongside Direct Sellers to digest RFPs, while coordinating internal stakeholders for Sales, and assisting in final deliverable to client
- Oversee maintance and upsell for Midwest Programmatic business with tech support from programmatic planning teams
- Responsible for quarterly programmatic reporting for key clients, and overall drive for increase in programmic growth YoY
- Act as key Sales conduit among internal stakeholders for any client related questions within the realms of: of billing / data customization / product / ad operations
- Alongside Sales, attend client meetings and entertainment touchpoints, helping to create and foster deep relationships in market
- Be a sales point person for data and research requests for both proactive pitches, and existing
- Deliver exceptional client service and communication throughout the entire Sales lifecycle including facilitating client-facing meetings, creating customized pitch approaches, and assisting with proactive pitch collateral and audience stories.
- Help manage relationships at junior level across clients / agency

Ability to manage multiple sales conversations and projects at once, risk-assess, prioritize, and problem solve.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate detailed information in a high-pressure environment.
Professional Experience
- 3+ years of experience managing and building relationships with internal and external clients as planning or sales support team member, for large-scale, high-value multi-platform campaigns across platforms (digital, audio, linear, social).
- 1+ years minimum in Direct Media Sales capacity
- Interest in sales and focus on driving revenue
General understanding of the following:
- Digital media landscape (including social)
- Campaign performance KPIs and reporting
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.
